Ba Duan Jin · Eight Pieces of Brocade
Strength & BalanceMorning Practice
About this set
Ba Duan Jin took shape in the Song dynasty. It is one of the most widely practised classical daoyin sets.
This version was compiled by the Health Qigong Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China: eight movements, done standing, with breath and stretching. Regular practice helps with prevention and supports staying well.
On this site the set is taught on camera by Han Xiaoming, a Tsinghua University postdoctoral fellow and a Beijing Sport University PhD. This does not replace a doctor's advice.
